Balance

tripod research has balance-model which reliably and in a repeatable manner tells you what e.g. your magazine's readers think about their media.

For each article/story/segment we tell you

  • if your audience is present (e.g. R-% = read an article)
  • perceived quality (Q-% = quality value)
  • bypassing (Dis-% = not interested)

As background info and to add to understanding there are the questions of willingness to recommend, the perceived development trend of the media in question and reasons for being in the audience (e.g. reasons for subscibing).

balance tells you how interesting your audience finds the topics your media covers in general and also if they think you have talked about them too much, too little or in the right proportion.

It is possible to survey your media in all it's channels to find out wether the same content is equally interesting on the web version and in print.

Fieldwork can be online, postal or telephone. balance is very helpful when trying to develop media content or aim it at a specific direction. It also works well as a measurement of quality.
